Winning an argument can cause a war if the argument was won unjustifiably

Fight and fight often, stand up for yourself in your relationship, teach your partner how to treat you but always do it fairly.  There will be times when that doesn’t happen, perfection is the enemy of progress so simply be willing to admit when you were wrong, apologize and try your damnedest to do better next time.  Remember that one of you may be better at fighting than the other, that doesn’t mean the person that isn’t as good at fighting should lose all the time.  Learn to fight with respect, love and compassion, not anger, hate and greed.
