Money, influence and looks are intoxicating and must be kept in check at all times.

Money, influence and looks are known as the triad of power, all power can be broken down into one or more of these three things.  Power does corrupt and the more power someone has, the more likely it is to corrupt. Remember that someone doesn’t have to have that power to be corrupted by it, that is to say if you win the lottery, your family and friends, to some extent, will be corrupted by the power you now hold.  Similarly, celebrities corrupt the people around them because they have influence, it’s not the celebrities’ fault but people assume that they will promote their company, get them into Hollywood events and so on.  While we can work to grow your self-awareness to limit the corruption you may experience, that doesn’t mean others have done the same work. Prepare for the eventual loss of relationships as you gain more power.
