Welcome to the Farm
Fulcrum Farm is a 60-acre property and home to a variety of livestock plus, a greenhouse and garden that produces more than 20 varieties of vegetables and flowers every year.
Who we are sets us apart from 99.9% of farms out there … we care more about providing an amazing life for our animals than we care about making a dime. This means we provide a huge amount of space per animal both indoors and out. We never use herbicides, pesticides, antibiotics or hormones in the farming process and we leverage the nitrogen cycle instead of fighting it. How? We allow grazing fields to rest, so all the waste the animals produce can be absorbed by the plants and used as fertilizer.
We make every effort to uphold the original mission of Fulcrum Farm: to provide the best possible life for our animals. We will always tell you exactly how each animal is raised, what it is fed and where it was kept on the farm. We will even show you! Watching the chickens, ducks, pigs and goats roam free and doing what comes naturally to them every day is an amazing sight. It makes all the hard work worthwhile!
Going the Extra Mile
It’s not only the land and animals that benefit from Fulcrum Farm. The food produced by the farm is donated to 501(c)3 charities, like the Northern Illinois Food Bank, who have dedicated, veteran-oriented programs.
We go the extra mile to provide our nation’s veterans with the best quality food so that they get the best experience possible, which we hope translates into them getting the help that they need.
